SPECIAL PUBLIC MEETING: The proposal is to build 898 dwellings in Lucan South, plus commercial/retail etc. The decision is due this weekend. I am convening a Special Public Meeting next Tuesday night, 9^th February, Penny Hill Lounge, 8.00pm – 9.00pm to consider our appeal to this plan. We will also discuss Lucan’s School issues, including the new Lucan South Secondary School site, campaign for the Educate Together Second Level School, final push for the agreed Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada site, proposed new Primary Schools. I hope to see you Tuesday night 9^th February.

Today I recieved 4,146 votes in the Local election. This means I can now serve you in a greater and stronger position than before. I wish to thank everybody that voted for me, all of your continued support has been a great asset to me and has given me immense strength. I am very grateful to all who attended, and to all who sent messages of good wishes to my 2009 Local Elections Campaign Launch held in the Spa Hotel in Lucan last week. Having served as your Local Councillor for Lucan and Palmerstown for the past 10 years, and having also worked in community development with special emphasis on the voluntary sector for the last 30 years, I am now looking forward to this local elections campaign.
